Evaluation of Heat Transfer Performance Depending on Semicircular Turbulence Promoter Shape Conditions and Flow Conditions in the Air-Type PV/T Collector

Air-type photovoltaic thermal (PV/T) collectors have a lower heat recovery rate than liquid-type collectors. Therefore, in this study, semicircular turbulence promoters were attached to the back of PV cell improve rate. Based on computational fluid dynamics, heat-transfer performance and pressure drop evaluated by changing Reynolds number (Re) promoter shape conditions. The conditions include relative height pitch promoter. In addition, increasing ratio, which means an increase direction flowing air, length promoter, distance between considered as design parameters. Consequently, transfer increased with decrease while Also, both show better ratio decreased. thermos-hydraulic parameter considering presented maximum value 1.92 for 0.02, 1.
